Job summary

Pendo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Sheffield, United Kingdom. This role focuses on AI-powered features and a full-stack approach with TypeScript and Vue.js, delivering end-to-end experiences that improve product usage insights for customers.

You will work closely with product and design teams, validate problems through customer feedback, and define success metrics to drive iterative improvements while maintaining high quality and reliability in AI-driven experiences.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agents in production or personal projects.
• Full-stack with frontend bias: TypeScript, DOM, and backend reasoning.
• 3+ years of experience building and scaling web apps.
• Strong product judgment, including comfort owning ambiguous problems and shaping scope.
• Experience defining success metrics and iterating based on usage data.
• Experience engaging directly with customers or end users to validate problems and assess impact after launch.
• Strong grasp of software architecture, design principles, and API development.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to mentor others and unblock teammates.

Responsibilities

• AI-powered feature delivery end-to-end, turning usage data into actionable suggestions.
• Full-stack delivery across frontend and backend with a focus on TypeScript and Vue.js.
• Participate in product discovery, validating problems and shaping scope.
• Define success metrics and iterate using product usage data.
• Use AI coding tools as part of daily workflow and ensure quality of AI output.
• Ensure AI-backed features are fast, reliable, and trustworthy for users.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineers.
• Raise engineering standards through code reviews and mentorship.
