Job summary

Pendo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Sheffield to build AI-powered product experiences with a frontend emphasis on TypeScript and Vue, while also shaping product opportunities through discovery and metrics.

You’ll own the end-to-end delivery of intelligent features, validate problems with customers, and apply engineering judgment to AI-generated code. This is a hybrid role with in-office collaboration three days per week.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LLMs and AI agents in production or projects.
• Full-stack engineering with frontend bias, strong TypeScript and DOM skills.
• 3+ years of building and scaling web applications.
• Strong product judgment; comfortable with ambiguous problems.
• Experience defining success metrics and iterating from usage data.
• Experience engaging with customers to validate problems and impact.
• Solid software architecture, design principles, and API development.
• Clear communication; ability to mentor and unblock teammates.

Responsibilities

• AI-powered feature delivery end-to-end, focusing on quality and user trust.
• Participate in product discovery with customers, prototypes, and feedback.
• Define success metrics and drive iteration based on usage data.
• Use AI coding tools as part of daily workflow with strong engineering judgment.
• Ensure AI features meet latency, accuracy, and reliability expectations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineers.
