Job summary

Insight is seeking an experienced AI Forward Deployed Engineer to lead design, delivery and scaling of high-impact AI solutions for strategic customers. The role blends software engineering, applied AI and customer problem-solving, taking ownership from discovery to production deployment.

You will work with partners and customers as a senior technical contributor, collaborating with architects and multidisciplinary teams to make pragmatic decisions and resolve complex implementation challenges.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering software, AI or applied AI solutions in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on experience with foundation models, LLM APIs and AI platforms.
• Experience with generative AI patterns including RAG, tool/function calling and agentic workflows.
• Experience designing evaluation approaches for AI quality, reliability, safety and performance.
• Experience integrating AI solutions with enterprise data, APIs and workflows; deployment in customer environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of complex AI engagements and own engineering priorities.
• Translate ambiguous business challenges into practical AI solutions with customers.
• Prototype, test and iterate AI solutions with customers to validate value.
• Design, build and deploy production-grade generative AI and other applied AI solutions.
• Remain hands-on, contributing code, integrations and evaluations during delivery.
• Collaborate with Solution Architects to translate requirements into designs.
• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise systems, data, APIs and workflows.
• Establish observability, guardrails, governance and monitoring for AI deployments.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems in customer environments.
• Conduct design and code reviews and mentor engineers across the practice.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, Research and Customer Success to align strategy.
• Create reusable frameworks, accelerators and solution playbooks from delivery experience.
• Ensure solutions meet security, privacy, governance and risk requirements.
• Explain complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute customer insights to Insight’s AI services and go-to-market.
