Job summary

Synoptix in the United Kingdom is seeking a software engineer with strong Python and C++ experience to contribute to AI and computer vision projects. The role spans the full SDLC across research, development, testing and deployment.

You will work in a multidisciplinary team, adopting DevSecOps and MLOps practices, with opportunities for professional development, hybrid working, and a company bonus. UK Security Clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python with experience in C++ development.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Linux operating systems (e.g. Red Hat, Ubuntu).
• Experience with a variety of development frameworks and practices e.g. DevOps, DevSecOps, SCRUM, MLOps, XP.
• Experience with data analysis and manipulation tools (e.g. Pandas).
• Experience in SDLC with focus on Design, Development, Testing, Deployment & Maintenance.
• Experience using UML.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work across multiple projects and at all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Participate in software design at all levels.
• Work on research and development products investigating and developing low TRL technologies.
• Work on product development for AI and Computer Vision products, including object detection and track.
• Work on service development, including upcoming AI Assurance service offering.
• Lead software design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance for AI and Computer Vision products.
• Provide SME guidance to clients on architecture and design of software solutions.
• Provide technical documentation and presentations to stakeholders.
