Synoptix is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to shape the technical vision across high-stakes AI projects. You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, drive research, and deliver robust vision and AI solutions on edge platforms.

Responsibilities include guiding architecture, collaborating with stakeholders, and mentoring junior engineers while advancing best practices in AI safety, resilience, and deployment using CUDA, PyTorch, OpenCV, and Docker in a hybrid UK environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C++, Python and modern ML frameworks used for vision and AI in real-time systems.
• Strong knowledge of computer vision and deep learning techniques.
• Experience with edge computing and deploying AI in constrained environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and delivery of high-throughput vision systems.
• Guide junior engineers and align projects with business goals.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and ensure AI safety and reliability.
