Job summary

Synoptix is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to shape the technical vision for cutting-edge AI systems in high-stakes environments. You will lead complex projects, interact with stakeholders, and mentor engineers while advancing best practices in AI and engineering.

The role spans object detection, neural resilience, AI assurance and synthetic data, with emphasis on real-time performance and multi-modal sensing across edge devices.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C++, Python, PyTorch, OpenCV, CUDA and TensorRT.
• Experience with edge AI development and ML/DL methodologies.
• Familiarity with MLOps and AI safety considerations.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and delivery of high-throughput vision systems on NVIDIA Jetson hardware.
• Drive AI research, prototyping and implementation across projects.
• Guide junior engineers and engage with stakeholders and customers.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams across strategy and design lifecycles.
