Job summary

Roku's DMTE team seeks a Senior Agentic AI Engineer to embed autonomous AI capabilities into Roku's platform, designing agentic systems that reason, plan, and act across development pipelines—from auto-generating themed experiences to optimizing rendering workflows.

You will apply strong software engineering practices to build reliable, scalable AI-enabled solutions for embedded environments, collaborating with firmware, UI, and product teams to deliver high-performance experiences.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building agentic AI systems in production environments.
• Strong software engineering foundation with reliable, scalable systems.
• Deep familiarity with LLM orchestration tools and AI/ML frameworks.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and function calling.
• Builder's mindset with emphasis on human–agent collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Apply software engineering principles to design, build, and ship reliable systems at scale.
• Maintain clean architecture, testing, and code reviews for reliability.
• Design and deploy agentic AI systems that generate, test, and optimize BrightScript/TypeScript code and UI experiences.
• Architect multi-agent workflows to accelerate development across the team.
• Collaborate with firmware, UI, and product teams to identify AI-driven opportunities.
