Job summary

Roku TV is seeking a hands-on Agentic AI Engineer to design, build, and maintain intelligent agents and copilots that drive automation and unlock new product capabilities. You will own the full lifecycle from prototyping to deployment, ensuring robust production performance and observability.

You will contribute to Roku's AI strategy by engineering reusable components, optimizing agent workflows, and integrating with internal services and tools in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python and systems programming; strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with LLM-based systems: prompt design, retrieval, tool use, memory handling, orchestration.
• Familiarity with agent frameworks, RAG pipelines, and scalable AI infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deploy AI agents and copilots for Roku TV use cases, integrating them with internal systems, tools, and services.
• Own end-to-end agentic systems from concept to production, including model selection, prompt and context design, retrieval strategies, backend services, and interfaces.
• Design and implement single-agent and multi-agent orchestration patterns, including handoffs and delegated tasks.
• Build scalable RAG and context pipelines for grounding AI systems with evolving data sources and business logic.
• Implement tool-calling, function-calling, and MCP-style integrations for safe actions by agents.
• Create reusable agent templates and modular components to accelerate adoption.
• Establish observability and monitoring for conversation quality, task success, latency, and cost.
