Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a V&V Systems Engineer to lead verification and validation activities for advanced aerospace and defence systems in Glasgow/Edinburgh. On-site 3-4 days a week, you will ensure the integrity of critical communication and avionics platforms and work with cross-functional teams to deliver compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in system verification and validation (V&V) within aerospace/defence.
• Strong understanding of system integration and test methodologies.
• Experience with requirements traceability and compliance verification.
• Proficiency in Polarion for requirements and test management.
• Knowledge of DO-178C/DO-254 or MIL-STD standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead V&V activities for aerospace and defence applications.
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures and reports to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate complex systems.
• Identify, document and track system issues with engineers to resolve.
• Support risk management across the system lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of V&V processes.
