Job summary

Eaton's Aerospace division in Wimborne, Dorset, invites applications for a Test and Development Engineer. You will contribute to the verification and delivery of new air‑to‑air refuelling and related aerospace technologies within an IPT framework.

The role requires experience in regulated environments, familiarity with DO-160 and MIL-STD-810, and strong skills in test planning, documentation and data analysis. On-site work with a cross‑functional team is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in Systems Test or Verification Engineering, preferably in aerospace or military.
• Experience with regulated industry and safety-critical environment.
• Familiarity with industry standards such as RTCA DO-160 and MIL-STD-810.
• Proven track record leading and delivering projects.
• Strong documentation and data analysis skills using MS Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Apply environmental and functional test expertise to new aerospace products.
• Be part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to meet performance expectations.
• Use discipline processes and tools to meet project requirements and quality.
• Conduct verification activities: requirements validation, verification planning, testing, analysis and reporting.
• Create verification documentation to demonstrate compliance.
• Define system and equipment level strategies and tests and their integration.
• Train and coach engineers in verification activities.
• Create and manage definitions for system, framework or product.
• Define processes, specifications, input/output and integration requirements.
• Support generation of test equipment: fixturing, mechanical/electromechanical rigs.
• Support development of new tools and processes.
