Job summary

Morson Edge in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Structures Engineer for an aerospace contract role based in Brough, East Riding of Yorkshire. You will lead structural analysis, design and certification activities across programs, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Qualifications

Five years' experience in aerospace structural engineering.
Experience with structural analysis techniques and software.
Knowledge of aerospace standards such as EASA CS-25 is advantageous.
Experience in design and certification of aerospace structures.

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed structural analysis using FEM to assess strength and fatigue.
Design and develop structural components and assemblies per project requirements.
Review technical drawings and specifications for compliance and feasibility.
Lead root-cause investigations related to structural failures or non-conformities.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, testing and QA teams for integrated solutions.
Prepare technical reports, design justifications and certification documents.
Mentor junior engineers and technicians within the team.
Participate in design reviews, risk assessments and project meetings.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aerospace materials, technologies and regulatory requirements.
Support continuous improvement of structural design processes and methodologies.
