Job summary

Matchtech seeks a Senior Project Design Engineer in Havant to lead the design and development of aerospace components and systems. You will create 3D CAD models and drawings, manage projects end-to-end, and review technical documentation with ECOs and BOMs.

The role requires Creo/Pro-E experience, strong communication and project management skills, and a background in hydraulic systems or related domains.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience within aerospace, defence or another regulated engineering environment.
• Strong product design and development background.
• Competent with Creo, Pro/Engineer or similar 3D CAD software.
• Experience producing and reviewing engineering documentation.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, rotating equipment, FEA or CFD is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of aerospace components and systems.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and engineering drawings.
• Manage projects through the full product lifecycle.
• Review technical documentation including drawings, ECOs and BOMs.
• Present at technical and design reviews.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead product investigations and continuous improvement activities.
• Support manufacturing and operational teams when required.
