Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join its permanent engineering team in the aerospace sector. You will develop robust mechanical solutions, create CAD models and support testing, verification and production activities.

The role requires strong CAD skills, a mechanical engineering degree or equivalent, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while adhering to safety, quality and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical design for aerospace/defence.
• Strong CAD skills to produce 3D models and drawings.
• Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to translate specifications into practical designs.
• Attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD.
• Develop mechanical components and assemblies for aerospace.
• Support design reviews, prototyping, testing and verification.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable solutions.
• Assess designs against technical, safety and regulatory requirements.
• Investigate design issues and drive improvements.
