Job summary

The Office of the Small Business Commissioner (OSBC) is seeking an Adjudication and Casework Lead in Birmingham. You will set strategic direction, lead adjudication and casework, and ensure decisions are delivered efficiently, fairly and in line with statutory duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Adjudication and Casework functions, setting strategic priorities and objectives.
• Provide leadership and oversight of all casework and adjudication activity to ensure efficiency, fairness and compliance.
• Lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Maintain oversight of decision-making processes and ensure adjudications are robust and evidence-based.
• Work with Head of Enforcement and Casework to identify risks, trends and enforcement strategies.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government departments, legal advisers, and business stakeholders.
