Job summary

The Office of the Small Business Commissioner (OSBC) in London is seeking an Adjudication and Casework Lead to steer strategic direction and oversee adjudication and casework operations. You will lead teams, ensure fair, evidence-based decisions, and maintain high standards in service delivery.

You will work with internal and external stakeholders across government to identify risks and drive continuous improvement in enforcement activity and case management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Adjudication and Casework functions, setting strategic priorities, delivery plans and operational objectives.
• Provide leadership and oversight of all casework and adjudication activity, ensuring operations are delivered efficiently, fairly, consistently and within agreed service standards.
• Lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams, creating a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and excellent customer service.
• Maintain oversight of decision-making processes and case outcomes, ensuring adjudications and casework are robust, legally sound and aligned with legislation and policy.
• Work closely with the Head of Enforcement and Casework to identify risks and contribute to enforcement strategies.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government departments, legal advisers and business stakeholders.
