Job summary

Pacific Life Re seeks a Senior Professional Tester to lead the Actuarial Systems Team's testing sub-group. You will drive functional and non-functional model testing, collaborating with model developers and business users to ensure robust quality and performance.

You will also coach junior staff, manage priorities across locations and help shape strategic testing initiatives in a fast-changing technical landscape.

Qualifications

• Qualified or nearly-qualified actuary with 5+ years in life insurance or reinsurance.
• Experience with Prophet, RiskAgility FM, Tyche or similar modelling tools.
• Experience using Atlassian suite including Zephyr for test management.
• Strong knowledge of Life, CI, IP and Annuity/Longevity products and related modelling concepts.
• Advanced Excel and Word skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Coaching and people management across multiple locations/time zones.

Responsibilities

• Lead a new specialised testing sub-team within the Actuarial Systems Team.
• Maintain and enhance a robust testing toolset and rigorous model testing regime.
• Develop strong stakeholder relationships across actuarial and non-actuarial groups.
• Oversee junior team members and support their development.
• Identify high-value outcomes amid competing priorities and constraints.
