Job summary

Pacific Life Re is seeking a nearly or qualified actuary to join the R&D team, focusing on assumption development and experience analysis for Longevity and Protection markets. The role involves data analysis, model fitting, validation, and obtaining approvals for best estimate assumptions.

The candidate should have strong actuarial skills, familiarity with GLMs and Survival Models, and the ability to collaborate across geographies with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Nearly qualified or Fellow of the Institute or Faculty of Actuaries or Society of Actuaries
• Experience in assumption setting or experience analysis is desirable
• Proficiency in statistical modelling and data analysis

Responsibilities

• Develop market-leading actuarial bases for best estimate assumptions
• Guide data analysis, model fitting, validation and final approval
• Collaborate with R&D and other teams across geographies
• Provide mentoring within the R&D team
• Present technical findings to varied audiences to gain approval
