Job summary

Reed is partnering with a Suffolk-based independent accounting firm to recruit a Senior Accountant for their outsourcing team. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, act as a trusted adviser, and deliver accounting and taxation services using modern systems.

The role emphasizes client relationships, cloud-based processes, and development within a forward-thinking practice that values its people.

Qualifications

• Qualified with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT, or qualified by experience.
• Experience in UK accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing management accounts, VAT, statutory, and tax returns.
• Strong knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero, IRIS, Dext.

Responsibilities

• Manage diverse client portfolio and act as trusted adviser.
• Prepare management accounts and tailored financial reports.
• Prepare year-end statutory accounts and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review VAT returns; liaise with HMRC as required.
• Maintain bookkeeping with cloud accounting software.
• Prepare corporation and personal tax computations and returns.
• Build strong client relationships and mentor junior staff.
