Job summary

Reed is seeking a Senior Accountant in Suffolk to manage a diverse client portfolio with a modern, tech-driven practice. The role combines technical accounting with proactive advisory and client-facing responsibilities.

Ideal candidates will have UK practice experience, qualifications (ACCA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT or equivalent), and strong knowledge of cloud accounting—Xero, Iris and Dext—along with mentoring juniors and developing client relationships.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or AAT qualification, or be qualified by experience.
• Experience in a UK accountancy practice environment (current or past).
• Experience preparing management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT returns and corporation tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Preparing management accounts and bespoke client reporting.
• Producing year-end statutory accounts and supporting working papers.
• Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and corporation tax returns.
• Processing and reviewing bookkeeping using cloud-based accounting software.
• Building strong client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser.
• Mentoring junior accountants within the team.
