Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is seeking a Semi Senior/Senior Accountant in Chichester, offering a flexible hybrid working model within a growing accountancy practice. You will serve owner-managed businesses across the UK, focusing on cloud accounting and high-quality advisory services.

You will prepare and review accounts for various structures, support VAT and corporation tax, and stay updated with legislative changes, backed by a supportive team and clear progression paths.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 4 or ACA/ACCA part-qualified with UK practice experience.
• Experience preparing accounts, VAT, corporation tax and personal tax for various business structures.
• Experience with cloud accounting and Xero.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Supporting clients with cloud accounting, particularly Xero, ensuring best practice.
• Ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Preparing and reviewing tax returns, including corporation tax and self-assessment for individuals.
• Helping identify tax planning opportunities and keeping up-to-date with legislative changes.
