Job summary

CMA Recruitment Group is helping a growing Chichester accountancy practice recruit for a Semi Senior | Senior to join their friendly team. The role focuses on helping prepare accounts for various clients, with a cloud-based working environment and flexible hybrid model.

You will work on accounts, tax returns (corporation tax and self-assessment), VAT, and client-facing support, using Xero and other cloud software, while staying compliant with professional standards.

Qualifications

• AAT Level 4 qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified with UK practice experience.
• Experience in preparing accounts, VAT, corporation tax, and personal tax for various business structures.
• Skilled in cloud accounting software, especially Xero, with strong communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently.
• Proactive, client-focused and committed to delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
• Supporting clients with cloud accounting, particularly Xero, ensuring best practice.
• Ensuring compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Preparing and reviewing tax returns, including corporation tax and self-assessment for individuals.
• Helping identify tax planning opportunities and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislative changes.
