CMA Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a forward‑thinking firm of accountants in Whiteley, Hampshire. You will oversee statutory accounts, mentor junior staff, and deliver high‑quality advisory support to clients while ensuring deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified or equivalent (ACA, ACCA or similar).
• Solid experience in accounting and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Proven leadership skills with ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
• Excellent communication, organisational, problem‑solving, and detail‑oriented skills with a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and review of statutory accounts for diverse clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance and meeting deadlines.
• Provide guidance, training and support to junior team members, reviewing and providing feedback for their development.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and deliver high‑quality advisory services.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
• Work closely with Managers to ensure completion of deadlines and client service levels are met.
