RK Accountancy, a growing Leeds-based practice, is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join the expanding team. You will oversee the quality of work, review accounts, and support process improvements as the firm continues to grow.

The role focuses on reviewing year-end accounts, CT returns, VAT, and self-assessment, with a strong emphasis on Xero proficiency and Mas-tered tax knowledge. Hybrid working and clear progression opportunities are offered.

Formación

• Three years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience reviewing other team members’ work, not only preparing accounts.
• Strong knowledge of corporation tax, self-assessment and VAT.
• Proficient in using Xero and Xero Tax.

Responsabilidades

• Review year-end accounts, CT returns, self-assessment, and VAT using Xero.
• Sign off completed work and provide feedback for amendments.
• Handle technical accounting and tax queries with clients as needed.
• Develop and implement review procedures, checklists, and internal processes.
• Monitor VAT/MTD deadlines to ensure compliance.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and escalate complex matters.
• Support onboarding of new clients as the practice grows.
• Assist with quarterly MTD for Income Tax submissions.
