Synergem Recruitment Limited in Leeds is partnering with a fast-growing financial services firm to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant. The role focuses on reviewing and signing off completed files, ensuring accuracy and compliance, with input into review standards and processes as the team grows.

You will review year end accounts, corporation tax, self-assessment and VAT returns, liaise with clients, and support colleagues in delivering high-quality work.

Competenze

• At least 3 years in UK accountancy practice
• Experience reviewing accounts and tax work prepared by others
• Ability to identify issues and explain reasoning clearly

Mansioni

• Review year end accounts and corporation tax for sole traders and small companies
• Review self-assessment and VAT returns
• Sign off completed work or add review notes
• Identify errors and investigate inconsistencies
• Resolve technical accounting and tax queries
• Liaise with clients by phone and email
• Support team with guidance and review standards
• Help formalise and improve review processes
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time
