As a Client Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of clients, lead and mentor a small team of accountants, and provide valuable financial and tax advice to

Qualifications

• ACCA/ACA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing and reviewing accounts and tax returns.
• Experience managing a client portfolio and supervising staff.
• Knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Dext and/or FreeAgent.
• Excellent communication and ability to explain financial information clearly.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited Company clients.
• Prepare, review and submit accounts and tax returns.
• Lead, mentor and support a small team of accountants.
• Review accounting and taxation work, provide guidance and technical support.
• Deliver advisory services including cashflow planning, budgeting and tax efficiency advice.
• Conduct year-end meetings and client fee reviews.
• Support new client onboarding and integration into the business.
• Liaise with HMRC and Companies House on behalf of clients.
• Prepare and review bookkeeping, VAT and CIS returns where required.
• Attend networking events and help develop client relationships.
