Job summary

Vectis Recruitment is seeking a diligent Finance professional to join our team in Leicester. You will assist in the preparation and submission of monthly accounts, reconcile balance sheets, and support VAT returns and budgeting processes.

In this role you will work closely with the Finance Manager and Director, helping to develop robust processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote financial awareness across the company.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting philosophy and practical knowledge expected.
• Experience in a fast paced environment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly accounts, including monthly reviews, journal entries and corrections.
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts and ensuring complete supporting documentation.
• Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Facilitate and promote financial awareness throughout the Company.
• Continually strive to improve and simplify procedures and systems.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
• Work with Finance Manager & Director on process development.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
