Job summary

Wavelength Professional Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Client Manager for a Northamptonshire practice. The role is up to £50K (depending on experience) and ACA/ACCA qualified, with flexibility to reflect current level and ability.

You will handle accounts preparation, tax compliance for owner‑managed businesses, and provide bookkeeping and VAT support. The firm offers a modern office, flexible working, on‑site parking and early finish Fridays, with strong career

Qualifications

Qualified ACA or ACCA with current experience in a professional firm.
Ambitious and keen to progress your career.
Proven experience in accounts preparation and tax compliance for owner-managed businesses.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Director level.
First point of contact for a portfolio of clients; liaising to obtain necessary information for accounts and queries.
Preparation of year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Preparation of personal tax returns.
Preparation of Corporation Tax returns.
Assist clients with bookkeeping and VAT returns.
Manage billing and work-in-progress for the portfolio.
Own workflow to ensure turnaround targets are met.
Provide support to the Practice Manager and Accounts Manager.
