Our client, a leading regional firm of Chartered Accountants, is actively seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to join their Rotherham office. This role will utilize your knowledge and skills to deliver a first-class service, providing accounts and audit support to a varied and impressive client base.
Duties
- Manage and take responsibility for your own portfolio of clients
- Prepare and review complex company financial statements
- Prepare and review interim management accounts
- Prepare and review personal tax returns
- Prepare and review partnership accounts and returns
- Review and submit quarterly VAT returns
- Assist with forecasts and business projections (not essential)
- Attend client meetings and interact with directors and business owners
- Train staff members and allocate duties
Experience
- ACA or ACCA qualified with a strong background in practice (Newly Qualified), such as an experienced Accounts Senior or Assistant Manager looking to progress further.
- Ability to actively manage your own workload and oversee team development.
- Proficiency in IT skills, including Office 365, in-house programs, and spreadsheet development. Experience with accounting software like Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is advantageous.
- Experience with accounts preparation programs, preferably IRIS.
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of diverse clients and engage in business development, focusing on accounts, tax, and advisory work.
