Qualifications

One of our companies is currently looking for a Senior Accountant in the UK / European Union.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations and statutory compliance across multiple European entities. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in managing month-end closes, coordinating audits, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, familiarity with IFRS or US GAAP, and the ability to collaborate across departments and with external providers. The ideal candidate is hands-on, analytical, and thrives in a dynamic and fast-growing environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the month-end close process for EMEA entities, including variance analysis and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with statutory financial reporting and coordinate external audits
  • Manage daily accounting operations such as accounts payable, expense processing, and banking
  • Prepare regulatory financial reports and analysis for local authorities
  • Oversee the implementation and review of internal financial controls
  • Maintain strong collaboration with global finance, external vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and financial systems enhancements

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Accounting or Finance roles
  • Fully qualified CPA, CA, ACCA, or CIMA certification required
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
  • Proven experience with international statutory audits and compliance processes
  • Prior exposure to dynamic, fast-paced environments, ideally in tech or SaaS
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite is a significant advantage
