Divisional Sales Manager - Finance & Accountancy at Bennett & Game Recruitment Limited

Forward-thinking accountancy practice is currently seeking a Client Accountant to join their Reigate-based team in a client-facing, comprehensive role within this growing general practice.

The Client Manager will handle a portfolio of dedicated clients, acting as the first point of contact for queries, managing accounts preparation, and assisting junior team members.

The ideal candidate will have similar experience in a client-facing role, be an excellent communicator, and will enjoy a great atmosphere, competitive benefits, and opportunities for progression to partner.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Preparation of company and sole trader financial statements.
  2. Being a point of contact for existing clients and offering advice.
  3. All aspects of accounting up to and including the production of monthly management accounts.
  4. Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns.
  5. Preparation of self-assessment returns for directors, self-employed, partnerships, and rental property accounts.
  6. Preparation of corporation tax returns.
  7. Liaising with clients and providing advice on various matters.
  8. Ensuring compliance for clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified with ACCA / ACA / QBE (considered).
  • At least 3+ years of proven experience in a client-facing role within public practice.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all types of clients.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word; experience with Xero and Taxcalc is preferred but not essential.
Additional Details:
  • Full-time position, with a possibility of 4 days per week for the right candidate.
  • Hybrid working (1 day in the office).
