Job Title: Client Accountant

Forward Thinking Accountancy Practice is currently seeking a Client Accountant to join their Reigate-based team. This is a client-facing, comprehensive role within a growing general practice.

The Client Manager will handle a portfolio of dedicated clients, serving as the first point of contact for queries, managing accounts preparation, and assisting junior team members.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have experience in a client-facing role, excellent communication skills, and a desire to work in a positive environment with opportunities for progression, potentially to partner.

Responsibilities

1. Preparation of financial statements for companies and sole traders.
2. Acting as a point of contact for clients, providing advice.
3. Handling all aspects of accounting, including monthly management accounts.
4. Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
5. Preparing self-assessment returns for directors, self-employed individuals, partnerships, and rental properties.
6. Preparing corporation tax returns.
7. Liaising with clients and offering advice on various matters.
8. Ensuring compliance for clients.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualified with ACCA / ACA / QBE will be considered.
• Minimum of 3+ years' proven experience in a client-facing role within public practice.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to handle diverse clients.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; experience with Xero and Taxcalc preferred but not essential.

• Full-time position, with a possibility of 4 days per week for the right candidate.
