Butler Rose Practice in Bradford, West Yorkshire is recruiting a Senior Accountant to lead a growing portfolio within a modern independent firm.

You will own your client relationships, deliver comprehensive accounting, tax and advisory services, and work closely with a friendly team to provide high-quality, personalised service. The role offers autonomy and development within a supportive practice.

Senior Accountant

Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (DOE)

Butler Rose Practice is delighted to be assisting a growing and modern independent accountancy firm with the recruitment of a Senior Accountant to join their friendly team.

With a small team of professionals, this firm offers a collaborative and supportive environment where you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful client relationships and become a trusted advisor to a diverse portfolio of businesses.

The Opportunity

Unlike larger firms where work can be highly segmented, you'll take ownership of your own client portfolio and act as the dedicated point of contact, providing a comprehensive range of accounting, tax, and advisory services.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who enjoys working closely with clients and delivering a high-quality, personal service.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing your own portfolio of clients.


• Preparing statutory company accounts.


• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns.


• Personal tax compliance and planning support.


• Producing management accounts, including financial analysis and client reporting.

Personal Requirements

• Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.


• Strong accounts production experience.


• Knowledge of corporation tax and personal tax.


• Experience preparing management accounts and supporting business owners with financial insights.


• Strong communication and client management skills.


• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.


• A proactive and client-focused approach.
