Description

The Senior Accountant is part of our Global Corporate Finance & Legal team, which is the core of all financial management and operations at Human8. In this role, you will take ownership of the entire accounting process and be part of a team of four Accountants supported by a shared service center in Timisoara.

Responsibilities

1. Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings and produce accurate accounting reports.
2. Understand the drivers of your fiscal results and explain management accounts monthly to the EMEA Head of Accounting & CFO.
3. Collaborate with the Accounting Administrator colleagues in SSC managing AR & AP invoices and bank statements.
4. Review the accuracy of accounts payable and receivable ledgers, and payments in transit to ensure correct ledger presentation.
5. Understand the nature of costs in your entities, identify errors in analytical accounting, and suggest improvements.
6. Manage cash needs across entities in different currencies and improve net working capital.
7. Ensure internal controls on payments, review, and upload payment runs in bank tools (prepared by SSC).
8. The monthly closing activities include:
1. Verify completeness and accuracy of posted costs (GL, CC)
2. Handle payroll accounting, accruals, and reconciliations
3. Manage fixed assets and depreciation
4. Handle deferred and accrued costs
5. Perform impairment testing of FFA
6. Review credit card postings and processes
7. Revalue FX transactions
8. Calculate interest
9. Post incentives
10. Manage transfer pricing transactions
11. Handle ICO transactions
9. Prepare VAT declarations and related reports.
10. Handle WHT declarations and other fiscal reporting requirements.
11. Review and suggest modifications to accounting systems and procedures with colleagues.
12. Prepare the statutory annual accounts.
13. Lead tax return preparations with external advisors and oversee tax audits (VAT, Corporate Tax, Social Taxes).
14. Coordinate and provide information for external audits to ensure compliance.
15. Advise stakeholders within the organization as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Preferably 5-7 years of experience in a corporate accounting role.
• Proficiency in English.
