Job summary

Michael Page is partnering with a well-established Leeds accountancy practice to appoint a Senior Accountant responsible for day-to-day accounting, statutory accounts, and advisory support for owner-managed businesses.

The role offers flexible hybrid working, full study support for ACA/ACCA, and a clear progression path toward managerial level, with exposure to diverse client portfolios and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA part-qualified minimum.
• Experience in Accounts Senior, Semi-Senior, or equivalent practice role.
• Experience preparing year-end accounts for a range of business entities.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Prepare corporation tax computations and returns.
• Assist with management accounts and bookkeeping reviews.
• Liaise directly with clients and respond to day-to-day accounting queries.
• Support cloud accounting solutions including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
• Review work prepared by junior team members.
• Assist managers and partners with portfolio management.
• Build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to add value.

As an Senior Accountant, you'll be handling day-to-day accounting tasks to ensure smooth financial operations for clients in the professional services industry. Your role will involve preparing accounts, offering financial advice, and supporting clients with their accounting needs. Part-qualified in ACA/ACCA at a minimum.

Key Responsibilities of a Senior Accountant:

Job Offer
