Park Street People Ltd is seeking a Senior Practice Accountant near Helston to manage a diverse client portfolio and take responsibility for accounting, tax, payroll and compliance tasks. You will work with clients to ensure accurate financial records, meet deadlines and deliver professional, responsive service.

The role covers accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, with focus on year-end work, HMRC information preparation and guidance on accounting software.

Qualifications

• Qualified with ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with post-qualification experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong practical experience across accounts preparation, VAT, payroll and Self-Assessment tax returns.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional, approachable manner when dealing with clients.

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of clients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records
• Prepare management accounts, year-end accounts and other financial reports for a range of businesses
• Handle bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and general ledger activities
• Prepare and support payroll, Self-Assessment tax returns and other compliance requirements
• Work on accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Review financial information, investigate discrepancies and ensure records are complete and accurate
• Support year-end processes, audits and the preparation of information for HMRC and other external stakeholders
• Provide clients with practical guidance on accounting matters and accounting software

Our client based near Helston are currently looking for a Senior Practice Accountant to join their team. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to manage a portfolio of clients while taking responsibility for a broad range of accounting, tax, payroll and compliance activities.

You will work closely with clients and colleagues to ensure accounts and financial information are accurate, deadlines are met, and clients receive a professional and responsive service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records
• Prepare management accounts, year-end accounts and other financial reports for a range of businesses
• Handle bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, VAT returns and general ledger activities
• Prepare and support payroll, Self-Assessment tax returns and other compliance requirements

Requirements
