Role Overview

As a Senior Accountant, you will be a vital member of the finance team, overseeing key accounting operations in a fast-paced, multi-currency environment. You will be responsible for setting up processes and preparing financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance whilst liaising with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Setup new entities in the accounting ledger and manage the journals during the close.
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial accounts, ensuring full compliance with international accounting standards.
• Prepare the relevant accounting papers in preparation for audit.
• Technical /General Ledger & Accounting Operations:
• Ensure financial records are compliant with local regulatory standards (e.g. UK GAAP) and international tax requirements.
• Assist in managing external audits, liaising with auditors, and preparing all audit documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

Experience:

• Proven experience within an MGA, broker, or insurer, preferably in an international context.
• Strong technical understanding of insurance accounting principles, premium, and claims handling.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Expertise in financial reporting and analysis, with strong and advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with accounting software
• Knowledge of international accounting regulations and tax laws

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
