Job Summary:

As a Senior Account Manager, you will be the key day-to-day client contact, managing relationships and overseeing the delivery of several medium to large projects. You will act as a client account lead or captain, responsible for managing execution and coaching junior team members, ensuring effective project delivery alongside the account lead or sponsor.

You should have a clear understanding of the overall programme, including strategic planning and financial management, and develop your leadership skills to manage up and down based on project needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main client contact, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and translating client briefs into actionable plans.
  • Formulate objectives and strategies for new work with support from your account lead.
  • Lead large projects with minimal support, from start to finish.
  • Provide counsel to clients and manage challenging conversations confidently.
  • Support your account lead in addressing programme and team challenges.
  • Identify opportunities for growth within existing accounts and confidently propose new ideas.
  • Assist in new business processes, including producing credentials and managing team contributions.

Team Management:

  • Develop your leadership style, inspiring and motivating your team.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members and support their career development.
  • Support hiring processes and manage at least one team member directly.
  • Manage budgets, track resources, and support financial management tasks.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives and stay informed about industry-leading work.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong data communication and presentation skills.
  • Problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-quality work on time and within budget.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
