Job summary

NFP, part of the Aon group, is hiring a Senior Account Handler to support its Commercial Insurance team in Bromsgrove. The role focuses on administration of client insurance needs, renewals, quotes and filings, delivering excellent client service within FCA-compliant guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years in commercial insurance broking, strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or with the team.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in a Commercial Insurance Broking environment is preferred.
• Experience as Insurance Account Handler, Broker or Client Service Executive is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of cross-class commercial insurance with client-facing experience.

We’re hiring for a Senior Account Handler to support our growing Commercial Insurance team in Bromsgrove!

To keep up with our growth in the UK and Ireland, we are recruiting for a Senior Account Handler to join our Commercial Insurance team on a full-time basis. You will be responsible for the administration of client’s insurance requirements including general enquiries, renewals, mid-term adjustments, acquiring quotations, account procedures and assisting clients with claims. Provision of technical, administrative and client service support to the insurance service Sales Executives/Directors, while ensuring all activities are carried out in line with FCA regulations and compliance standards.

We’re looking for someone with:

• A minimum of 3-5 years in a Commercial Insurance Broking environment and progressing towards ACII qualification would be preferred
• A previous background working as an Insurance Account Handler, Broker or Client Service Executive seeking to progress your career, or an insurance professional from another field keen to develop a career in a customer servicing role
• A good knowledge of cross class commercial insurance classes with a number of years’ experience and a positive approach
• A strong insurance technical ability is desirable
• An ability to collate information and produce reports
• Good communication at all levels and act as interface between all Insurance departments, clients and service providers
• An ability to build positive relationships within the team, and with Clients
• Experience in sourcing and providing proven insurance advice and solutions for your clients
• Great initiative who can work alone and as part of a team
• Experience of Acturis would be preferred

Using these skills, you’ll be:

• Providing a high level of professional advice and all-round service in all aspects of the client relationship
• Answering general enquiries, renewals, midterm adjustments as well as obtaining quotations
• Leading a range of larger client insurance programs
• Handling a varied range of new business enquiries and presentations to market
• Acting as a technical referral point within a well-established commercial team and offer mentorship to less expert team members
• Involved in all aspects of client engagement working closely with the senior directors and executives of the business
• Identifying cross selling opportunities where appropriate
