Job summary

Custom Heat & Cool in Rugby is seeking a Senior Air Conditioning Engineer to lead the air conditioning arm while hands-on on installations. The role blends technical leadership with field work for domestic and commercial projects and supports the survey team with design advice.

You’ll train colleagues, supervise engineers, and help shape growth of AC across teams, with a focus on quality, safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• F-Gas Category 1 (essential).
• Substantial air conditioning experience, including ducted and VRF systems.
• Installation experience, domestic and commercial.
• Experience of training, mentoring or supervising other engineers.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and a good understanding of controls.
• Experience with Daikin, Mitsubishi, Haier, Toshiba, Fujitsu or similar.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Train heating engineers in air conditioning to extend installation and maintenance capabilities.
• Provide technical support for surveyors: review AC surveys, advise on design and equipment.
• Lead on ducted and VRF work and support other engineers onsite.
• Help shape how air conditioning grows across teams and communities.
