Job summary

Solutions Engineering Recruitment is seeking a skilled 3rd Line IT Support Engineer for an Office Based role in Blackburn. You will act as the escalation point for complex infrastructure issues and support a diverse client base across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities include resolving complex server, network and cloud problems, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring service levels are met. Ideal candidates will have MSP background and excellent client communication.

Qualifications

• Strong 3rd Line Support experience, preferably in an MSP.
• Proficient Windows Server administration and Microsoft 365 management.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy and virtualization.
• Solid networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting multiple customers and handling escalations.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the technical escalation point for 1st and 2nd Line Support Engineers.
• Diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure, server, networking and cloud issues.
• Support and maintain customer IT environments across multiple sites.
• Assist with infrastructure projects, implementations and upgrades.
• Monitor system performance and identify improvements.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge base articles.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors and internal teams to deliver service.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge.
• Ensure work meets SLAs.
