Job summary

Dynamic Search Solutions in Liverpool is seeking a 2nd Line Network Support Engineer to join a hybrid team serving a key enterprise account. You will own on-site troubleshooting, monitor performance, and work across home, office, and client site environments.

The role requires strong routing, firewall and SD-WAN skills, plus Cisco and non-Cisco infrastructure experience. You’ll document complex issues clearly, maintain configurations, and help continuously improve our knowledge base while

Qualifications

3–4+ years of networking experience, with hands-on routing, switching and security skills.
Experience troubleshooting SDN solutions and Cisco SD technologies.
Strong documentation and communication skills for non-technical audiences.
Exposure to multiple vendors (HP, Juniper, F5, Citrix, CheckPoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, VMware NSX).
Hands-on experience with Cisco switching, routing, firewalls, Nexus, ACI and SD-WAN.
Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

Take technical ownership of network issues and mentor team members.
Maximise customer network performance via proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
Maintain customer network equipment and security infrastructure to current versions.
Establish and enforce rules, policies, and access controls.
Respond to incidents and service requests via phone, email, or portal.
Work to SLAs and communicate risks early and clearly.
Collaborate to improve knowledge base and first-touch fixes.
Adhere to change management processes and keep documentation up to date.
Split time across home, office, and client site in Liverpool.
