Job summary

Adria Solutions Ltd. is seeking a technically capable 2nd Line IT Support Engineer in Manchester. The role focuses on owning complex incidents, supporting a Microsoft-first infrastructure, and contributing to infrastructure changes across a ~500-employee organisation.

You will escalate from 1st Line, manage VMware VDI for ~240 users, and maintain security and change-control practices in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and Exchange Online.
Experience with Entra ID/Active Directory and device management (Intune, Autopilot).
Strong Windows infrastructure and desktop support skills; familiarity with VMware/VDI environments.
Networking and troubleshooting expertise; firewall and switch administration.
Experience with backup technologies and incident/problem/change management.

Responsibilities

Acting as the primary technical escalation point for 1st Line IT Support.
Diagnosing and resolving complex 2nd Line infrastructure and end-user issues.
Supporting Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online administration.
Providing VMware VDI support across branch estate (~240 users).
Supporting and managing network infrastructure, including firewalls and switches.
Working with Palo Alto and Juniper networking technologies.
Maintaining documentation and participating in infrastructure projects and change controls.
