Job summary

InfoSec People Ltd is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer to join the IT team and tackle challenging operational issues. You will provide advanced 2nd/3rd line support, troubleshoot complex hardware, software and network problems, and work across Microsoft and Linux environments.

You will administer virtualised infrastructure with VMware/Hyper‑V, manage incidents via ITSM platforms, and contribute to infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in IT Support, Infrastructure Support or Systems Administration.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exposure to VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Networking knowledge across Cisco, Juniper, HP or Dell technologies.
• Experience using ITSM tools like Jira Service Desk or HP Service Manager.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing 2nd and 3rd line technical support.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software and networking issues.
• Supporting Microsoft and Linux environments.
• Administering virtualised infrastructure using VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Managing incidents through IT Service Management platforms.
• Supporting Cisco, Juniper, Dell and HP networking technologies.
• Automating tasks using PowerShell, Python or Ansible where appropriate.
• Contributing to infrastructure and systems projects.
• Building strong relationships with users and stakeholders.
• Maintaining technical documentation and knowledge bases.
