Cambridgeshire County Council's SEND Information, Advice and Support Service (SENDIASS) is recruiting a full-time Adviser to provide impartial information, advice and support on SEND to families and young people aged 0–25. The role spans education, health and social care, with travel across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Rutland for meetings and training.

You will work to help families understand SEND rights and processes, attend meetings, and deliver workshops, while maintaining thorough

Qualifications

• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to listen empathetically and build relationships.
• Resilient and adaptable; can handle sensitive information and remain calm under pressure.
• Solid understanding of SEND legislation and practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide impartial, confidential information, advice and support to families on SEND matters.
• Manage a caseload of parents, carers and young people aged 0–25.
• Attend and support meetings and hearings; maintain accurate records in the database.
• Travel across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough and Rutland to attend meetings and events as required.
• Develop and deliver workshops and training on SEND topics for parents, carers and professionals.
