Are you an experienced SENDCo or skilled SEND practitioner looking for a short‑term role where you can make a meaningful impact straight away? Are you available to make an immediate start in September?

We are seeking someone who can step in confidently, provide high‑quality SEND leadership, and support us with critical statutory tasks during a period of absence. This is an ideal opportunity for a practitioner who thrives on purposeful, time‑limited work and enjoys bringing clarity, calm and expertise to a busy primary setting.

About the role

Working as part of our school team, you will provide short‑term cover from September to December, ensuring our SEND provision remains secure, compliant and well‑supported. You will work closely with colleagues to maintain continuity for pupils, families and staff, with a particular focus on statutory responsibilities that must be delivered accurately and on time.

  • Provide day‑to‑day oversight of SEND provision, ensuring statutory duties are met securely and deadlines are maintained.
  • Lead on essential SEND paperwork, including referrals, annual reviews, monitoring documentation and statutory submissions.

About you

You will be someone who:

  • Brings strong SEND expertise and can apply it immediately
  • Is confident managing statutory processes without needing a long induction
  • Works calmly, collaboratively and with professional clarity
  • Enjoys making a focused, high‑impact contribution within a defined timeframe
  • Communicates clearly with staff, families and external agencies

This role is perfect for an experienced SENDCo or practitioner who enjoys stepping in, stabilising key processes and ensuring nothing slips during a short‑term period.
