Job summary

All Saints' CE Primary School in Bradford is seeking an enthusiastic SENDCo to join our team on a maternity cover basis from November 2026. This fixed-term contract may allow a part-time SENDCo role (1.5 days) and a part-time Class teacher role (3.5 days).

The successful candidate will lead SEND provision, monitor pupil progress, support staff, coordinate EHCPs, and work with families and external agencies to ensure high-quality, inclusive education.

Qualifications

  • Qualified teacher with successful classroom experience.
  • Holds the National Award for SEN Coordination.
  • Sound understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEND legislation.
  • Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school.
  • Monitor the progress and attainment of pupils with SEND.
  • Support staff in delivering high-quality adaptive teaching.
  • Work closely with parents, carers and external agencies.
  • Coordinate Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) processes and annual reviews.
  • Ensure SEND records and systems are maintained effectively.
  • Provide advice, support and training for colleagues.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and the wider strategic development of the school.
  • Promote inclusion and champion the needs of vulnerable learners.
