Nicholas Chamberlaine School is seeking a committed SENDCo to strengthen inclusive practice and ensure every student can thrive. You will be a visible leader across the school, supporting colleagues, students and families with clarity, care and high expectations.

The role involves working with the Senior Leadership Team to deliver robust SEND provision, ensure high-quality teaching, and coordinate support across departments.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with students with SEND is essential.
• Strong understanding of inclusive classroom practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and external agencies.
• Commitment to high expectations and improving outcomes for vulnerable students.
• SENDCo qualification is desirable; support to achieve National Award for SEN Coordination will be provided.

Responsabilités

• Provide confident support and leadership across SEND provision.
• Oversee day‑to‑day organisation of SEND provision, ensuring consistent systems across departments.
• Support teaching and learning to translate SEND strategies into effective classroom practice.
• Develop and deploy Teaching Assistants to uphold high expectations and best practice.
• Collaborate with pastoral teams, subject leaders, families and external agencies for coordinated support.
• Champion inclusion and ensure every student is known, supported and challenged.
