Job summary

Academics is seeking a SENDCo to join a Beaconsfield school for two days per week. You will provide strategic leadership and hands‑on support to develop high‑quality SEND provision and ensure every child has the opportunity to succeed.

You will lead day‑to‑day SEND provision across the school, support teachers to identify needs and follow the graduated approach, and develop, monitor and evaluate interventions with external professionals.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status and experience of teaching in a primary setting.
• Desirable SENDCo qualification or equivalent leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice and Equality Act.
• Experience working with families, external agencies and governors.
• Ability to lead, support and challenge colleagues while safeguarding pupils.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate day-to-day SEND provision across the school.
• Support teachers to identify needs, implement strategies and follow the graduated approach.
• Develop, monitor and evaluate interventions to ensure positive impact.
• Work with external professionals and agencies.
• Lead EHCP applications, annual reviews and consultations.
• Ensure compliance with SEND Code of Practice and Equality Act.
• Keep SEND policies and records up to date.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and governors to improve SEND provision.
