Job summary

Barrington CofE VC Primary School is seeking a SENDCo to join the leadership team, focusing on leading SEND provision and shaping the school's Inclusion Hub, launched in September 2026. The role is provisionally three days a week from 1 January 2027 and involves working with staff, families and outside agencies to improve outcomes for pupils with SEND.

Applicants should have the National Award for SEN Coordination or be willing to obtain it; visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Strategic leadership alongside practical support for staff and pupils.
• Excellent communication across staff, families and external agencies.
• Experience leading SEND provision and coordinating inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop SEND provision across the school
• Shape, develop and embed the Inclusion Hub's vision, systems and impact
• Play a key strategic role in the Hub during its first year of operation
• Provide practical support to staff and pupils
• Work with school leaders, staff, families and outside agencies
• Ensure pupils with SEND receive high-quality provision and achieve positive outcomes
• Contribute to the school leadership team
