Job summary

Bolton Brow Primary Academy in Sowerby Bridge is seeking a committed and inspirational Primary SENDCo to join our team from January 2027. You will lead inclusive practice at the heart of our warm, ambitious school community.

Working with the Headteacher and the Trust Director for SEND / Inclusion, you will ensure every child receives the support they need to thrive, and you will provide strategic leadership and coaching to staff.

Qualifications

• Qualified SENDCo with NASENCO or NPQSEN (as supported by Trust).
• Experience leading SEND provisions and coaching staff.
• Commitment to inclusive education and pupil outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the school carries out its statutory responsibilities regarding all children with SEND.
• Lead on providing SEND support to enable access to education and maximize potential.
• Coordinate SEND provision and advise staff/parents on meeting pupils’ needs.
• Work with external agencies to coordinate contributions and continuity of provision.
• Provide strategic leadership, professional guidance, and coaching to staff.
• Be responsible for SEND administration and maintaining records.
• Teach Early Years as required by Headteacher.
• Undertake duties in line with the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions.
